How to join?

1. Download the Sentinel GO app (free on Google Play & App Store)

2. Register your boat in the app and successfully complete the verification process. (We may request a document showing your boat’s HIN (Hull Identification Number), such as a registration certificate or valid insurance document, to verify your entry.)

3. Like the official contest post published (and pinned) on our Instagram (@sentinel_marine) or Facebook (Sentinel Marine solutions) accounts.

4. Submit your entry:

Comment under the contest post with:

• A short review of the Sentinel GO app after trying it (e.g., what you liked, found useful, or what surprised you).
• A boating photo — either of you with your boat or from one of your favorite boating moments.

On Instagram (if you don't have a Facebook account):

Post your photo and review on your Instagram account (your profile must be public), and tag us in the post so we can record it.

5. (Optional) Tag five (5) friends in your entry. Tagging is encouraged but not required. If you tag at least 5 real friends, you will earn +10 bonus points in your final score .

Entry Limit: Only one (1) entry per person is allowed. Multiple submissions (including from alternate accounts) will result in disqualification, with only the first valid entry being considered.

Original Content: All parts of your submission (review and photo) must be your own original content. You must hold the intellectual property rights to any material submitted. Content that infringes third-party rights will result in disqualification.

Sentinel GO Contest – Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can participate in the contest?

Anyone who owns a sailboat or motorboat and registers in the Sentinel GO app can join — as long as you’re over 18.

‍

2. What do I need to do to enter?

It’s simple:

 1. Download Sentinel GO from the App Store or Google Play

 2. Register your boat (takes about 2 minutes)

 3. Like the official contest post on Facebook (or Instagram if you don't use Facebook)

 4. Leave a comment with:

 – A photo from your boating adventures

 – A short review of the app (your favorite feature, what surprised you, or how you’d use it)

3. What can I win?

The main prize is a full Sentinel SafeGuard Bundle + 1-year subscription — a €599 value.

Finalists may also receive a special consolation prize (to be announced soon).

4. How is the winner selected?

Winners are selected by Sentinel’s internal jury at the end of each contest quarter. Each entry is evaluated on a scale of up to 100 points, based on creativity, originality, relevance to boating, and how well it reflects the spirit of Sentinel GO.

Entries that include tagging at least 5 real friends when submitted will receive an additional +10 bonus points.

In the event of a tie, the jury will make the final decision. All jury decisions are final.

5. When does the contest end?

The contest does not have a fixed end date — entries are accepted at any time.
Winners are selected on a quarterly basis, with each contest quarter starting from the official launch date (August 12, 2025).

• Quarter 1: August 12 – November 11 → Winner announced by November 25

6. Do I need to own the photo I upload?

Yes. You must hold the full intellectual property (IP) rights to the photo and the review you submit.

By entering the contest, you confirm that your entry is original and that you have the right to share it. Sentinel may use selected content for promotional purposes, with credit where applicable.
